Introduction

Established in 2009 the only private Degree College at Lohagara, Narail District has completed 7th academic calendar. The college is recognized by Ministry of Education of Government of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, the college’s permanent campus at Laksmipasaha city centre. 11.5 KM from main district town. Spread over 3 bighs of land the college has an administrative block two lecture blocks each with eight spacious and well ventilated halls, a library block ,a science block and a few smaller buildings to run courses in Arts, Science, Computer sciences and commerce streams. A spacious and well furnished auditorium equipped with an advanced type of public address system is available to organize the various types of seminars, symposia, debates and other cultural programs. The foundation of an additional double story lecture block with 170 /40 feet dimensions has been laid recently to meet the future accommodation requirements.

The college is funded by the governingbody and entirely based on CSR project of The aero vision BD Limited’s CEO, Mr. Arik Morshed. Initially created with an intake capacity of 320 students, the current enrolment of the college is about 760. Out of this roll the girls proportion has increased to 33% a healthy sign of women empowerment.

Presently the college offers Bachelors degree in Arts, Science, computer applications and commerce. The college is striving to live up to the expectations of the people and students and is geared up to work as an instrument of change in the area. The college has the honour of being the first among young colleges only for the women in the entire district.

The college firmly believes that only academic exercise is not enough to ensure the all round development of the students. The different curricular and co-curricular activities held in the college throughout the year, provide an excellent opportunity for expressing and developing literary, leadership and other skills under the guidance of faculty. Our students are now making it to various competitive exams at state and national level.

The college has an effective organizational setup involving teaching faculty, non teaching staff and students in the management through various committees.
